About the Role
Want to build on your firefighting career and be a part of a great crew? As an employee of Unlimited Safety Services, you have the opportunity to work as an industrial and municipal firefighter. Full-time employees work 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off, providing emergency services to the community in-between industrial jobs. Roles and Responsibilities
Provide fire protection, firefighting and other emergency services
Preform required duties at the station and on-site as per SOP's
Operate company vehicles safely and conduct pre/post-trip inspections
Set up and maintain all equipment as per SOP's
Complete and submit daily paperwork
Participate in safety meetings and coordinate plans with on-site representatives
Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times
Maintain required tickets and certifications
Other duties as assigned
Prerequisites
NFPA 1001 Level II
NFPA 472 or 1072 Ops
Emergency Medical Responder with ACP registration OR Class 3Q / provincial equivalent
CPR/AED Level C
H2S Alive
Common Safety Orientation
Clean criminal background history and vulnerable sector check
Clean driver abstract
Grade 12 or equivalent
Preference for
Previous experience as a firefighter
Previous experience in the oil & gas industry
Previous experience in a trade
Previous experience driving heavy trucks

Job Details
A bi-weekly salary is provided to full-time employees.
Day-rates are given on top of salary to employees working in the oil field.
Candidates must complete a pre-employment drug screening.
Must speak fluent english and be entitled to work in Canada.

About Unlimited Safety Services
We are a division of North West Fire Rescue and specialize in providing safety services to the oil and gas industry. USS crews and specialized equipment provide safety standby services in remote locations across western Canada during high-risk work operations. The primary types of work performed by USS are Fire and Decontamination standby, Medical standby, and H2S safety supervision.
